Technical skill is not enough to create a masterpiece. Every innovator, thinker, painter, script writer, movie-maker, designer, masterplanner, architect and the like needs a ‘toolbox’ to stimulate thoughts and challenge the predictable.
Indeed, MindFolio has developed many such proprietary and indispensable tools, over 70 of them at the last count… However, it is the beliefs that guide how these tools are used which make the real difference between developing solutions that are truly original and those which are just derivative; between those that have depth and those with just gloss; between those which can stand the test of strategic scrutiny and those which fall at the first hurdle.

Solutions must be unique to their circumstances
The roots, history, context and potential of the site, the people, the constraints and the opportunities must inspire new concepts, rather than rely on a tried MindFolio signature idea or a recycled recipe.
We have no home market when it comes to ideas and inspiration for our work.
We invest considerable sums in being as familiar with Omotesando and 3rd Street as we are with The Peace Garden, Avenue Montaigne, Marylebone High Street, The Pearl District, Zamalek, Südtiroler Platz and many more. And whatever happens anywhere in the worlds of retailing, leisure, design, architecture, art and music, customer insights and social change, consumer-focused technologies, working environments, housing, media etc. interests us. In fact, anything that shapes the Zeitgeist is our business.
